‘Cambodia: Ray of Hope’ Reception Hosted by World-Renowned Surf Photographer Aaron Chang

Posted on Friday at 12:27

This Friday, world-renowned surf photographer, Aaron Chang and other artists will be holding a ‘Cambodia: Ray of Hope’ reception. The night is for artists and the community to fight human trafficking. Chang went to Cambodia with Jedidiah in 2010 to meet and photograph the community. Jedidiah clothing pieces included many of his Cambodia photographs in the designs that benefit World Vision this season.

Jedidiah is proud to sponsor the reception and our CEO, Kevin Murray will be at the event. A large amount of proceeds from Friday’s photographs, art and Jedidiah clothing sales will help World Vision open a trauma recovery center that will hold more than 70 children per year in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Definitely a great chance to see new art, socialize, and help children in need.

Details:

What: Aaron Chang’s photographs, Jedidiah clothing featuring Chang’s work and art will be on display, with a large amount of the night’s proceeds benefiting World Vision. Of course, music, food, and fun will be included.

Our Spring/Summer Partner, World Vision, Responds To Storms In The South

Posted on Friday at 6:12

We admire our Spring/Summer partner, World Vision, for their immediate response to the horrific storms and tornadoes that have swept through the American South. The tornadoes have gone through Alabama, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Mississippi and a levee broke in Missouri. There are already over 300 fatalities, many left homeless and hundreds of thousands left without power.

World Vision quickly began working with churches and local organizations in disaster areas because they are most familiar with the communities, each area’s needs and specific family situations. With the help of these organizations, World Vision is distributing first aid kits, hygiene supplies and survival products. Right now, the World Vision team is focusing on the the most vulnerable populations including children, elderly, disabled and their families.

Our thoughts and energy go to the people in the South. After just seeing World Vision quickly respond to the disaster in Japan, we are so impressed that they once again immediately responded to this disaster. These storms are a true tragedy but we are grateful for the care that World Vision is providing. We are proud that our clothing is currently benefiting such an admirable organization who is continually helping people in need.

In Residence Japan Relief Event Was A Success!

Posted on Thursday at 3:56

The In Residence event supporting Japan was a success last Thursday. It was an ideal event for Jedidiah to be a part of and the turn out was phenomenal. Our Japan t-shirts were a hit of the night as well as items from our spring line.

A lot of people had bought our Japan shirts in the store the week before and came to the event to learn more about the brand and what we stand for. We loved having the opportunity to meet the boutique’s clients and share Jedidiah’s mission with them.

We auctioned off the Luke Jacket and Commander Jacket with all the money going to In Residence’s World Vision Japan Relief Fund. In addition, 15% of everything sold that night was donated to World Vision.

The biggest success of the night was seeing in person that people do care and want to make a difference in any way they can.
