It’s the heat of summer and we want to share some of our favorite recent photos. This week we are featuring Austin Novy, a San Diego native and now surfing for Santa Barbara City College. He’s an awesome guy and surfer who is close with his church, family and community. We love how much he represents Jedidiah in the surf world and wish him the best of luck at the pro-am division at Crystal Pier this weekend!
This past Saturday we had the privilege of hanging out all day with Switchfoot and StandUp For Kids on the beach at the 7th annual Switchfoot Bro-Am. The outpouring of support for Jedidiah’s mission and for StandUp For Kids was truly inspirational. Word has it that over 8,000 people showed up to hang out in the sun for a good cause.
We wanted to say thanks to the thousands of you that stopped by our tent, tried something on, donated money, or just grabbed a pair of Jedidiah sunglasses and enjoyed a liquorish rope with us.
The Switchfoot Bro-Am returns to Moonlight Beach in Encinitas on June 18th! The event is free and features a concert, surf contest, beach vendors, and after-party. The Bro-Am was created to give back to the San Diego community and benefit the local chapters of StandUp for Kids. a non-profit whose mission is to improve the lives of homeless teenagers and at risk youth. StandUp for Kids is our 2011 Fall/Holiday partner and Switchfoot is a Jedidiah-endorsed band so we are especially passionate about this event. We will be in the Jedidiah tent all Saturday and at the after-party that night. The past years have been amazing and we know this year will be too!
