Check out a little teaser video of our partnership with Amor that our good friend and partner in crime, Russell, put together. We will be highlighting and giving 5% of the sales to Amor from our Summer ’10 Collection. Using the sights, sounds, smells, and tastes (yes, we’ll be incorporating some of that yummy carne asada taco taste right into our tees) everything Amor will be woven throughout all the pieces created for Summer 2010. Until then, get a feel for what Amor is doing currently in Mexico below.
Begining in January 2010 were going to be working a lot closer with the organizations we support. Rather than working with 10 different organizations we are focusing all of our efforts on raising awareness and monetary support for one organization per retail season.
In October a few of us were able to travel alongside Compassion International to see first-hand the work they are doing in Haiti. This trip to Haiti served a two-fold purpose. We really wanted to get better acquainted with the specific programs Compassion International is implementing in Haiti and to help us in supporting them more efficiently. Secondly we wanted to soak in the sights, sounds, and culture to help inspire the overall look and feel of our Fall 2010 collection. Although this collection for Compassion International won’t be available until July of next year, we wanted to leak this video so that you could catch a glimpse of some of our experiences.

This past weekend was the 10th Annual Tommy Tant Memorial Surf Classic in Flagler Beach, Florida. Jedidiah has had the previldge of being involved in this amazing contest for the past several years and it’s an event we look forward to each and every time.
Started by the awesome Tant family, including Jedidiah team rider Will Tant in honor of his late brother, Tommy, this contest brings out people of all ages from around the country to celebrate Tommy and his life. Many Jedidiah supporters were there including artists Patrick Maxcy and Austin Blasingame who painted a live mural of skateboard decks. This mural along with many other silent-auction items were all for sale, with proceeds going to benefit the Tommy Tant Memorial Scholarship Fund and the Flagler County Resource Center.
On Friday night, there was a kick-off event to show a sneak preview of FUEL TV’s new episode of Firsthand with Will Tant, Jesse Hines, and Braddigan, directed and produced by our friend Matt Katsolis. Then Saturday really got things going with the start of the surf contest and crowds descending upon the Flagler Beach pier area and boardwalk!
Later on Saturday night we went across the street to the Veterans Park to enjoy live concerts by pro-surfer, Jesse Hines who holds his own with a guitar and mic, long-time Jedidiah favorite, Josh Garrels, and Braddigan (founder of Jedidiah humanitarian partner Love Light & Melody. All three were AMAZING!
Sunday was a full day of wrapping up the contest and saying goodbye to friends that had traveled to be a part of the event. Congrats to Aaron Cormican who took first in the Mens Pro, Jasset Umbel in the Womens Pro, and Daniel Worley in the Body Board competition.
Overall it was an amazing weekend and I know we’re all looking forward to next years contest already.
