Southeast Museum of Photography • in the lobby
This past Saturday, Jedidiah was invited to be a part of the Environmental Film Festival at the Southeast Museum of Photography in Daytona Beach, Florida. One of our HOPE Partners, Love Light & Melody was showing their documentary, Day of Light, followed by a concert by LL&M founder, Brad Corrigan’s band Braddigan. Day of Light helps to bring awareness to the trash dump community outside of Nicaragua’s capital city, Managua.
There was an amazing turnout as it was standing room only in the full theatre at the museum, and after the film, an awesome Q & A session commenced. Brad and the director, Matt Katsolis, discussed a lot of the background info with the audience. There were quite a few people interested to know how they could get involved with the project, or at least spread awareness. plus there were a handful of people in the audience who had been on a trip to Nicaragua before with LL&M, including Jedidiah artist, Patrick Maxcy, who wrote about his most recent trip, here.

After a nice reception and a chance for people to buy some Jedidiah shirts with the proceeds going to LL&M, we all geared up for a concert by Braddigan. Overall, this event really helped to get the mission of Love Light & Melody out to the public and we thank them again for letting us be a part of the event.
Here is a video from the most recent Day of Light, including the newest mural, Hell’s Gate.
