Like most people I severely underestimated the extent of the devastation caused by the earthquake in Haiti. It wasn’t until watching a few of minutes of Anderson Cooper’s broadcast on CNN, that I caught a short glimpse of the true tragedy that has gripped Port Au Prince and the surrounding regions.
In September of 2009 a few of us from Jedidiah accompanied the Compassion International staff on a trip to Haiti. After seeing such a vulnerable nation in such great need it is extremely evident that the road to recovery will be a long one. As a part of our new Thrive Campaign we pledged to donate 5% of our sales from July 2010 – September 2010 to support Compassion International and the work they are doing in Haiti.
In addition to this we are currently working on a tee from which 100% of the revenue will be donated to supporting the victims of the Earthquake in Haiti, through Compassion International. We will post the shirt real soon.
In the meantime, if you would like to make a direct contribution to the earthquake victims in Haiti you can do so through Compassion International – Click Here For More Info.
Below is a short video comprised of footage from our last trip to Haiti with Compassion International – Edited by Russell Brownley.
