In December of 2008 Jedidiah took down a handful of their surfers and employees to put on a little Christmas Party for the kids at the Gabriel House.  This video explains a little about the mission behind the Gabriel House's work in Baja, Mexico.

ABOUT GABRIEL HOUSE

Mission: Gabriel House is a non-profit Christian residential home dedicated to the total care and rehabilitation of profoundly handicapped children and children with immune deficiency disorders. Gabriel House strives to extend hope and dignity to the children at no cost to their impoverished families. History: In 1995 Ted and Renie Faver saw there was a desperate need to help the handicapped children of Mexico.  With little resources, they began rescuing the neglected and handicapped children in the Ensenada area, taking only those who could not survive without help.  In its first year of existence, the Gabriel House grew from just two to six infants in Ted and Renie’s home. Shortly thereafter, their crew grew to twelve children and then to sixteen.  When the rain began to bring flooding, rodents and insects, they knew it was time for bigger and better facilities.  A generous man, in answer to prayer made possible to move to the current Gabriel House where they currently reside. Today:  Today over 50 children call Gabriel House their home.  The organization currently spans across four rented homes. Angels’ wing cares for the children with immune deficiency disorders and Gabriel House 2 cares for those children with Downes Syndrome. Gabriel House Website
