How have you seen vulnerability inspire community?
In a culture obsessed with flawlessness, sometimes the most powerful thing we can give is an honest word. The power of vulnerability is that it is both liberating and contagious; it negates our fear of being found out and welcomes others to safely share their own deep thoughts. It also inspires grace.
When we recognize our own needs and desires, we start looking for the needs of others rather than the flaws. The collection of honest people bringing unique experiences, perspectives, worries, fascinations, and pains into the whole creates true community where everyone is safe and supported in being who they are.
This month we are teaming up with Joel P. West's *Dust Jacket Project* to gather stories of how vulnerability has brought people together. When you submit your art and/or writing to Jedidiah, you automatically submit your work to the Dust Jacket Project and will receive a free copy of Joel's new album.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:
Send us your submission(s) (you can upload pictures if needed) OR send us a story of how an act of vulnerability compelled you or someone around you towards love and grace. Your submission to Jedidiah will have a chance to be turned into art for our monthly Community T-shirt contest and each submission will receive a free download of Joel's new album. Go here to get some ideas of what people have been submitting so far.
