New York Surf Film Festival
Recently we had the honor of taking part in the New York Surf Film Festival. Jedidiah and friends, including director, producer, and friend, Russell Brownley, were invited to show Gum for My Boat, a documentary created from a recent trip to Bangladesh. Holding a lot of promise for the NY surf culture, this up and coming film festival was the second of its kind and was held at the Tribecca Cinemas.
We were able to spend three days hitting the streets of New York during the course of the festival alongside such greats as Rob Machado who showed The Drifter and Taylor Steel and Kai Neville showing Modern Collective.
Gum for My Boat was shown first to a sold out crowd, and because of the great response, was followed by a encore showing the next day before The Drifter. We’re excited to start getting the work out about Surfing the Nations and their work in Bangladesh with showings around the U.S. If you’re interested in doing a screening in your city, let us know!
