This past weekend, I was able to help at a wonderful all-girls surf clinic in the beautiful Crescent Beach, Florida. Jedidiah was one of the sponsors for the event and I had such a great time spending the day with lots of excited girls (and ladies) having a blast in the water.
My friend, Angela Miller, started the organization Dollfins.org as an effort to combine the joy of surfing with the joy of giving. The group makes surf fins and the proceeds go to providing dolls to orphans worldwide.
At this weekend’s all-girls surf clinic, a couple dozen girls met on the sand for a day of surfing, assisting, teaching, learning, and hanging. After the morning sessions, everyone headed to the Surf Station 2 for some lunch and then some time helping to make some colorful dolls which are headed to orphanages in Haiti.
Here’s a video of the day which made a lot of girls smile here in Florida, and which will make a lot of kids smile in Haiti:
Thanks DOLLFINS for letting Jedidiah be a part of this fun day!
